I’m Lauren Slack—designer, digital strategist, and the person behind The Clubhouse Collective. I’ve spent years helping golf course professionals navigate the digital world, from crafting standout résumés to managing event registrations for the industry. I’ve been working in graphic and web design since 2006—starting with trade show graphics and 3D animations, then diving headfirst into agency life in 2010. That job shaped how I design and run things today (and, honestly, spoiled me with an amazing team). In 2015, I took the leap and started my own business—and haven’t looked back since.

After countless conversations, coffee-fueled brainstorming sessions, and talking shop with my husband (a 16+ year golf course superintendent), I realized something: golf course professionals deserve better online representation. 

So, I created The Clubhouse Collective—a platform offering clean, customizable websites tailored specifically for superintendents, head pros, and assistants.

No tech headaches. No generic templates. Just professional, brag-worthy sites that showcase your skills and help you stand out when opportunity knocks.

Fun facts? I’m a dog person, a snow lover (from a distance since we live in Florida), and recently bought rollerblades for reasons I’m still questioning. So yeah, if I’m not designing, I’m probably falling down…in style.

Enter Lauren Slack and The Clubhouse Collective. A decade ago, Lauren founded The Collective Design Agency, aimed at small businesses needing beautiful WordPress websites. Inspired by her husband Mike, a golf course superintendent, who sought a job-search website that could impress potential employers, Lauren crafted a website from scratch. The feedback was immediate and positive, sparking a newfound appreciation among golf course professionals for the power of a professionally designed online presence.
 
Understanding the struggles that Mike and many others faced, Lauren recognized a critical gap in the market. Most superintendents, like Mike, simply didn’t have the time or desire to learn yet another program – they just wanted a functional website. “Can you just do it?” Mike would often ask, reflecting the sentiment of an entire industry who needed help.
 
After nearly two decades in the web design field, Lauren set out to make an impact. She created The Clubhouse Collective, a one-stop shop offering everything from domain registration to hosting to ready-made templates designed specifically for golf course professionals. With her extensive experience, Lauren understood what was required to cater to this unique audience – a service that would support superintendents every step of the way.
 
The solution was simple yet effective: an intuitive platform where users could easily set up an account, pick a template, load their content, and launch their site. With The Clubhouse Collective, there’s no more guesswork; clients receive the guidance they need, just an email or support ticket away, ensuring they can shine in their careers.
